I'm not dead positive on this, but I think Sylphis does have some sort of character animation already. I'll talk to Harkal and see if this is a feature that needs to be added to the list. :)
Blender does have the ability to bake IK/Armature animations, and the export from Blender to Sylphis works quite well. So, while this might not be as good a solution as actual in-game IK solving, you could still get high-quality character animations by baking and exporting the entire frame-by-frame animation.
Yeah I was talking about actual in-game IK solving to have characters react to ingame forces (e.g real time animation blending, with added IK solver).
The most basic function would be to have the characters feet "stick" to the ground, even when standing on a diagonal surface like it was done in Doom3.
Edit: It would be also cool if you could attach objects to a character that then react to physics forces to a certain amount :)
